ALMA Joyce Kafanabo Awards for Excellence and Innovation
Awards committee
We established an independent awards committee for the ALMA Joyce Kafanabo Awards for Excellence and Innovation. The independent awards committee were tasked with:
- choosing the 6 award categories to recognise the width breadth of achievement from African countries in 2022
- assessing the countries’ progress across the award categories
- selecting the successful countries to be honoured in the award categories
To help the awards committee, we assessed each country using the Scorecard Maturity assessment tool which helps identify where a country scorecard is performing well and where it needs further improvement.
